Project Description

COMMUNITY
I enjoy helping community organizations develop and pursue mission-specific solutions within the context of mental health. I believe community organizations are key to addressing systemic behavioral change. Indeed, community organizations are often “first-line” facilitators of mental health within many marginalized communities. Most community organizations find themselves addressing mental health as either an afterthought or as an emergent reaction to a crisis – oftentimes with few resources and training.
With my support, community organizations can develop plans, materials, expertise, collaborations, etc. to develop practices which advance mental health, are trauma informed, and (with the right efforts) fully-funded. I am honored to have served organizations such as Youth Guidance’s Working on Womanhood initiative (inspired by My Brother’s Keeper), The Obama Foundation, Chicago Ideas Week, and the Mikvah Teen Health Council.
